WITH a quick flick of the switch, Basildon’s Christmas lights have been turned on and the town is in full swing for the festive season.

Mayor Mo Larkin and Essex Cricketers Graham Napier and Morris Chambers brought the lights to life alongside the cast of Dick Wittington at the Towngate Theatre. Eastgate Centre Marketing manager Mike Horton said this year was by far their biggest.
