SOUTHEND Council has done everything it can to deal with the impact of planned industrial action by public sector workers on Wednesday November 30 says chief executive Rob Tinlin.
He said: “The Council fully respects the rights of its employees to take part in industrial action.
“However, we must strive to protect front line services for our most vulnerable residents and every effort has been made to minimise the disruption this action will cause to them.”
But he admitted some Southend schools could close that day and details of closures will be posted on the council’s website at www.southend.gov.uk.
