Fundraisers – Charlotte Thatcher and Kerry Chambers are preparing for the charity walk in high heels
WOMEN across the borough will be donning their slippers and stilettos for a midnight walk in aid of St Luke’s Hospice.
The walk, which will take place inside Lakeside Shopping Centre, has been running for three years and has so far helped raise £40,000 for the Basildon hospice.
Those taking part will be able to compete in their most outrageous heels to win a trophy.
The event will also include a raffle with prizes donated from selected stores in the shopping centre.
It will take place from 10.30pm on January 28, with the walk starting at midnight.
