A majority of the borough's schools are set to close or partially close during the planned industrial action by a significant number of trade unions on Wednesday, November 30. A handful will remain open.

•Chase High School - open for year 11 for private study and lunch will be provided for them; Sixth Form will operate as normal; Free school meal students are allowed in for lunch at 1pm.

•Shoeburyness High School - open for years 12 and 13
•St Thomas More High School - open for years 12 and 13
•The St Christopher School
•West Leigh Infant School - will operate normally except for one class
