A COUPLE taken to hospital after suffering suspected carbon monoxide poisoning were given the all-clear by doctors.
The 73-year-old man and woman were taken to Basildon Hospital on Thursday evening by ambulance after complaining of dizziness and headaches, and were concerned they may have carbon monoxide poisoning because their home in Fourth Avenue, Wickford, had just been fitted with a new boiler.
Doctors who checked them over found no traces of the condition and deemed them well enough to be sent home.
