A SCHOOLGIRL was grabbed by a man as she walked along a Leigh street.
The 14-year-old was in Sandhurst Crescent when the man took hold of her arm and pulled her towards the road.
She managed to break free and run away.
It happened between 7.30pm and 7.45pm on Monday, November 28.
The suspect is described as a dark skinned man, possibly of Spanish or Italian appearance, slim and around 5ft11ins to 6ft tall. He was aged in his late twenties and had slight stubble on his face. He wore a dark blue hoody and light blue jeans.
Pc Lewis Gordon, the investigating officer, said: “This was a very strange incident and I am keen to hear from anyone who can help my investigation. Sandhurst Crescent is a busy road often used as a cut through - did you use it on Monday evening and if so, did you see anything suspicious? If you did, please get in touch.”
