FIREFIGHTERS had to free an elderly woman out of a car after a crash involving a cement mixer on the A127 today.
The accident happened on the Rayleigh Weir roundabout just before 1.30pm.
It took around 15 minutes for fire crews to free the woman, believed to be in her 70s.
However, the firefighters did not have to use cutting equipment to free the driver, who was left shaken by the accident.
After being checked over by paramedics, it was decided the driver did not need to attend hospital.
