HUNDREDS of people are expected to pack into a meeting as unpopular plans to cut round-the-clock care for elderly residents at a sheltered housing scheme are thrashed out.
Familes of pensioners affected by proposals to shake-up care at Afflets Court in Basildon, will scramble to have their say as council chiefs endevour to explain why they need to make such dramatic cuts.
The meeting will be held at 7pm on Monday at the complex in Moat Field, Basildon.
