A MAN has been taken to hospital after being crushed by a lorry in South Ockendon.
Emergency services were called after the 28-year-old suffered serious foot injuries in the accident which happened at 7.35am on Friday (December 9).
It is believed the man was working on a lorry when the accident took place.
Gary Sanderson, a spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “The ambulance crews already at the scene worked closely with the critical care team from the helicopter before the patient was taken to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel by land with a serious foot injury."
Due to the nature of the call an air ambulance was also called to assist.
