DETERMINED protesters calling for social change set up camp outside the Southend Council headquarters to spread their message to local residents.
Members and supporters of Occupy Southend met in Churchill Gardens today, Saturday 10, before moving to the nearby Civic Centre on Victoria Avenue, where they set up an array of colourful tents and statement banners.
They braved the cold for two hours, before ending the peaceful demonstration at around 4.30pm.
This is the group's second protest after they pitched seven tents on Southend High Street, near to the Odeon Cinema, on November 26.
