RESIDENTS are invited to pick up some safety tips and get their dogs microchipped at an event this month.
Southend Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership has organised the community safety event on the elevated walkway off Coleman Street on the Queensway Estate in Southend on Thursday, March 29 between 2pm and 5pm.
It will be attended by representatives from South Essex Homes, Essex Police’s Southend Central Neighbourhood Policing Team and Southend Council.
Personal attack alarms, purse chains and UV property marking kits will be handed out and bikes and mobility scooters will be tagged for free.
Sgt Ashley Holland, of the Central Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We always urge residents to report any issues and encourage engagement with the Neighbourhood Policing Team. This event provides an excellent opportunity for residents to do just this and also, at the same time, benefit from the services being provided by our partner agencies.”
