A MAN walked into a Basildon bookies wielding a kitchen knife and told terrified staff: “Give us your money.”
The robber strolled into the Ladbrokes betting shop in Clay Hill Road and demanded the cash.
The stocky raider, wearing a leather jacet, struck at around 5pm on Sunday when he walked up to the counter brandishing the knife.
A staff member handed over money from the till, which police say ran into four figures. He then calmly walked out of the shop.
He was 5ft 8ins tall, of stocky build and wearing a black and white ski hat. His face was masked by a black scarf. He was also wearing a black leather coat.
After the raid, several police cars descended on the Kingswood estate in Basildon.
