COMMUNAL areas in Lee Chapel North and Vange are being given a £25,000 makeover.
The work will involve refurbishment of rubbish storage and recycling facilities and measures to improve security.
This is necessary as the communal areas for 2 to 28 Ballards Walk, 168 to 184 Great Knightleys, and 415 to 451 Clay Hill Road, had become run-down and a target for flytipping.
Andrew Baggott, cabinet member for community and landlord services, said: “This work will not only improve the look of these communal areas but make life easier for residents.
“We are committed to improving the quality of life for our residents and will continue to invest in community facilities.”
The majority of the work is scheduled to be completed by Friday (March 16).
