A TEENAGER was nearly run over by a moped in an alleyway in Benfleet on Tuesday (May 29).
The 16-year-old was walking along an alleyway between Croft Road and High Road just before midday when a moped was ridden past her at high speed and she had to jump out of the way of it.
She fell over and cut her hands and knees on rocks- she didn’t require any medical attention.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “She has given police the name of the person she believes was driving and police will be following up with inquiries.”
