This is a letter from Canvey resident S Peake published in the Echo this week:
So the work being done to repair the problems at the Sadlers Farm junction are at no cost to the taxpayer, at least in terms of cash.
What about the costs in time and frustration having to continually negotiate the traffic cones and shut down carriageways in this endless merry go round farce of a repair.

Why the council have not invoked penalties in this company is beyond comprehension.
The process has taken far too long and one suspects that work is only done when they ‘have a spare hour or two’.
Time the council brought the company to book and demand an end date and if they can’t provide one then a new company should be appointed to get it done with all costs borne by this company that are unable to fix what has been described as a botched job!
