Here is a letter from a Rochford resident published in the Echo this week:
At the risk of repeating myself, I’m writing yet again to ask what is being done about building more doctors’ surgeries.
It’s all very well building more and more houses, but that means more people that will one day need some form of medical treatment.

I have spent three quarters of an hour on permanent redial trying to get a blood test for my prostate cancer check, and finally gave up the ghost.
This is not a critique of the staff at Rochford Back Lane surgery, they are hard working, polite and helpful, but you can’t fit a quart into a pint pot.
