"I read in the Echo that there were at least two congestion “hotspots” in Southend.
"I always wonder about the area outside schools. For example, West Leigh Infants and Juniors is on a very busy junction. I wonder if they are thought about when looking at congestion?

Revealed: Congestion charge for A127 and A13 was suggested in £85k report
"One wonders what these children are breathing in. Does anyone actually check?
"We talk about congestion charges and I think I’m persuaded by it if I’m honest. I am worried about future generations and the harm we are doing to them.
"Anything we can do to get more environmentally-friendly transport in Southend has to be good.
"While ULEZ is an annoyance, that’s what it is doing in London - making sure people have cars which consider the environment. This is a good thing."
