WESTCLIFF resume their National League Three London & SE campaign with a trip to Tonbridge Juddian tomorrow.
Westcliff were without a fixture last weekend but still have lingering injury issues for several players in addition to their long term absentees.
Definitely unavailable is captain Simon Jones and decisions will be made on several players after late fitness assessments.
Nevertheless Westcliff will go into the game with confidence high after the very encouraging performance against Barnes a fortnight ago when they pushed the league leaders to the limit.
And the club’s first team manager Rick Compton insists his side are now looking forward to taking on a Tonbridge outfit who are currently fifth in the standings.
“We feel we can take on and on our day beat anyone in this league and will be looking to do just that on Saturday,” said Compton.
“Tonbridge narrowly missed out on promotion via the play offs last season and have again shown well this season.
“They are currently among the leading pack in the division and we know we will have to play well to trouble them.”
Westcliff go in to the game 12th in the 14 team table.
Ninth placed Thurrock, who have lost their last three games, are also in action away from home tomorrow as they travel to table-topping Barnes.
