IT’S been a frustrating time for us all because of the weather and I’m starting to think someone up there doesn’t really like me!

It’s been great to have been back involved with the first team after recovering from my knee injury.

But all three of the matches I’ve been due to play in to get more minutes under my belt have now been called off.

It’s disappointing because you can’t replicate what you have to do a pitch.

However, we’ve been fortunate to have been able to train in these difficult conditions.

The staff at the playfootball.net centre in Westcliff have allowed us to use their facilities and that’s been a huge help.

That allowed us to get a few sessions done, and we also trained at the David Beckham Academy in London.

That’s also a great venue and will certainly help us in the build up to Saturday’s game at Chesterfield.

We’re desperate for it to go ahead and it’s a very big game too as they’re just a point below us in the table.

They have a good mix of youth and experience, which makes them hard to play against.

But it’s a game we will look forward to and we want to get back to how we were playing to get our season going again.

GREAT GOAL FOR MICKEY, BUT IT'S A SHAME ABOUT THE CAR!

I’D like to take this opportunity to welcome Michael Spillane to the football club and he seems like another great lad to have in the dressing room.

He scored one of the best goals I’ve ever seen in training yesterday, but he certainly won’t be joining any of the car schools as he drives around in a two-seater suitable for a hairdresser.

He always wears tracksuits that are far too small and far too bright and does have a lot to learn.

But he will be looking forward to making his debut against Chesterfield on Saturday and hopefully he can bring us some of the luck and form Tamika Mkandawire had when he was here.

BANTAMS' WEMBLEY CUP FINAL ACHIEVEMENTS IS UNBELIEVABLE

BRADFORD City getting to Wembley for the final of the Capital One Cup is an unbelievable achievement.

As a fellow League Two team, we’d all like to offer them our congratulations.

And they have given lower league sides the hope of achieving something similar for many years to come.

I remember when I got to the FA Cup final with Millwall everyone said a team outside of the top flight would never do it again because the Premier League was getting stronger and the squads were getting bigger.

But, a few years after us, Cardiff City did the same and now we have Bradford, which I think is fantastic.

People say it’s been achieved because the League Cup is not taken seriously but I disagree.

Aston Villa played a full strength team in both legs of the semi-finals and I’m sure the 40,000 fans who were at Villa Park on Tuesday were taking it seriously too.
