WE head in to tomorrow's game with Rotherham feeling like we have to pay back our supporters after what happened against Barnet in the week.
It was a very disappointing night and if I'm honest I think we paid the price for having the wrong mental attitude in the game.
The trip to Barnet came after two very good results and performances against Leyton Orient and Wycombe Wanderers and I think the players disrespectfully thought they just had to turn up at Underhill to win.
That is never case in this league though and we learnt that the hard way in the week.
It was probably the first time I could actually point the finger at this group of players and seven or eight of them just weren't at the races.
We therefore got what we deserved against Barnet and they got what they deserved too.
We started brightly but after that we faded away and we have to see a reaction against Rotherham at Roots Hall tomorrow.
It's another difficult game as they're currently fifth in the table having played fewer matches than most of the teams around them in the table.
But losing to Barnet has made this game even more important than it already was from our point of view.
We have to play well and be at our best to get the win we want to start closing the gap on the play-off positions again.
If we are to achieve automatic promotion this season then I think we would probably need to win all of the remaining 12 matches we have left.
And if we are to finish in the top seven then we cant afford too many more hiccups either.
There's no denying we've made things difficult for ourselves now but we've shown before we're capable of getting on a good run and that's something we must try and do again.
That aim starts at the weekend but Rotherham have some good players and we obviously know all about their manager too.
They will certainly test us and we will certainly need to defend better than we did at Barnet.
I thought that was the worst our back four had played all season and at times it was shambolic.
But we have Bilel Mohsni back now which gives us another option back there and we will have to come up with we consider to be the best team to win the game.
Whoever we pick will be fired up to play well after the Barnet defeat and I know the players will certainly want to put in a good display for the fans.
