SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown has made five changes to his starting line-up for this afternoon’s game at Hartlepool.
Brown has chosen to revert to the same side that he selected against Plymouth on the opening day of the season.
And that means Barry Corr will again line up alongside Freddy Eastwood in attack as both Don Cowan and Craig Reid drop down on the bench.
Ben Coker returns at left back in place of the injured Julian Bennett while Ryan Leonard and Marc Laird are both back in midfield.
Conor Clifford and Jack Payne are therefore among the substitutes where they are joined by new loan signing Adam Thompson.
Southend United: Bentley, White, Phillips, Prosser, Coker, Atkinson, Leonard, Laird, Straker, Corr, Eastwood.
Substitutes: Smith, Timlin, Reid, Cowan, Clifford, Payne & Thompson
