CONCORD Rangers boss Danny Cowley does not believe his side have been given a fair introduction into Conference South football.
After losing their opening game of the season 2-1 at home to Basingstoke on Saturday, Cowley’s men will have had just over 48 hours rest when they take on Chelmsford City tonight.
Meanwhile the Clarets will be playing their first game of the season after their weekend trip to Farnborough Town was called off by the league late last week.
The paperwork required to ratify the take-over of the troubled Hampshire club was not completed in time forcing the league to call off their games.
And the whole situation has angered the Concord boss.
“We are at Conference level now and how this situation has been allowed to happen I don’t know,” said Cowley. “Farnborough have a lot to answer for and as a result of their situation we have been massively affected. Massively.
“To go to Chelmsford at the best of times is always going to be tough but with them having had the weekend off it is going to make it even harder for us.
“But we’ll dust ourselves off and be ready for it. We have a no excuses mentality here and we’ll get on with it.”
