CARL Josey has been announced as Essex Leopards’ new captain for the forthcoming campaign.

Josey enjoyed a successful first season with the Big Cats last time around.

And he is now aiming to achieve even more this term.

“My focus is to make sure we take a step closer in becoming more professional on and off the court and making sure we represent the Leopards brand well,” said Josey.

“Our goal this year is to be a high paced, high energy and entertaining team which prides itself on defence that our fans can take pride in supporting.

“I am excited for this season to begin and I’m proud to have been named as captain.”
