Don Cowan - released by Southend United
DON Cowan has been released by Southend United.
The striker, who was on a month-to-month deal with the Shrimpers, has been allowed to leave by Phil Brown after picking up a thigh injury which was due to sideline him for at least a fortnight.
Cowan made three appearances for the Blues.
