THOUSANDS of runners will be pounding the streets of Southend in the annual 10k race on Sunday.
Event organisers have revealed that 1,400 entries have already been received with more in the pipeline.
And, for the first time ever, everyone who finishes will be presented with a race medal instead of a T-shirt.
The event begins at 10am with the 3k fun run before the main race gets underway at 10.30am.
