BEN Coker has returned to Southend United’s squad for tomorrow’s game at Oxford United after completing his one-match suspension.
The left-back was shown two yellow cards in the 1-1 draw at Bury and was forced to miss last Friday’s 1-1 draw against Bristol Rovers.
But he looks set to go straight back into the starting line-up at the Kassam Stadium.
Skipper John White will therefore revert to right back while centre-back Mark Phillips faces a late fitness check on the groin problem that forced him to be substituted against Bristol Rovers.
And if he fails to recover then Adam Thompson will line up alongside Luke Prosser at the heart of the back four.
Striker Freddy Eastwood also faces a late check on a hamstring problem.
But the forward positions seem to be the most contested this weekend with boss Phil Brown praising the performances of Craig Reid and Cauley Woodrow in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Colchester United in which Barry Corr scored twice.
Midfielder Marc Laird (hamstring) and defender Julian Bennett (cruciate ligaments) are both still sidelined.
