WESTCLIFF face a crunch London One North clash at home to Ruislip tomorrow.
Westcliff currently top the table having won all four of their matches so far this season, while Ruislip sit second with three wins out of four.
Westcliff, who were relegated from National Three London & SE last season, are currently four points clear of their nearest rivals. And skipper Rob Smith insists the side now want to extend that gap even further.
“Ruislip have had a strong start to the season as well, winning three out of four, so they must be doing something right and we’re expecting a difficult game against them,” said Smith.
“Coming down into this division we weren’t too sure who would be up near the top of the league, other than Chingford, who we knew would be strong.
“Ruislip are doing well right now though so it’s another important game but we will be aiming to get the full five points against them.
“Confidence is high in our team after the good start we’ve made and we want to keep that going.”
But as Westcliff aim for a fifth successive win they will be missing their influential number eight James Smith.
However, fellow forwards Dave Cosgrove and Ian Dartnell are both available again, while centre Elliott Harvey is also expected to return.
