ANDREW Bridge caught this whopping 24lb pike at Stanford’s Warren fishery last week.
It was snagged on a dead bait – only five feet from the bank – and is his new personal best.
Plenty of other pike are showing up to mid-doubles and a few carp still coming from the Main Lake.
The Square Lake is still producing small carp to 18lb on small bollies, with most fish coming from the corners.
Plenty of roach, plus the odd bream and perch are taking maggot or casters on the milder days. The match lake is also producing roach and odd bream, plus one surprise tench, with fish falling to the waggler if fished close to the reeds.
A reduced price day ticket is available until the end of February for the match lake only.
The price of the reduced ticket is £2 for adults, and £1 for anglers under 16.
