John Egan has joined the Blues on loan from Sunderland
SOUTHEND United have completed a loan swoop for Sunderland defender John Egan ahead of Saturday's clash with Wycombe Wanderers at Roots Hall.
The seventh-placed Shrimpers have been hit by a series of injuries in their back four.
But 21-year-old Egan is due to train with Blues today and boss Phil Brown hopes to have the centre-back available to take on the struggling Chairboys.
“John should be coming in for the game and we’ve signed him on a 28-day loan, which is really good news for us,” said Brown.
