EAST Thurrock United won their battle to beat the drop in the Ryman Premier Division but they had to come from behind to do it.
Visitors Bognor Regis Town took a two-goal lead thanks to Ben Johnson's seventh-minute opener and added a second in the 14th minute through Ollie Pearce.
But David Bryant reduced the arrears in the 35th minute to make it 2-1 at half time.
Mitchell Gilbey equalised in the 55th minute and put Rocks ahead for the first time in the 70th minute.
Sam Higgns added a fourth in the 80th minute in front of 314 fans at Rookery Hill to leave John Coventry's side in 20th place.
Elsewhere, there were defeats for Canvey Island and Billericay Town.
The Gulls finished 13th in the table following a 2-0 defeat away to champions Welaldstone in front of 906 fans.
But Stones left it late to sign off their successful season with victory. Charlie Penny broke the deadlock in the 81st minute and Peter Dean grabbed the second in e 90th minute.
Billericay Town finished the season 10th but signed off with a 5-0 defeat to relegated Wingate & Finchley.
Ahmet Rifat scored a hat-trick for Wingate with goals on 14, 48 and 82 minutes, with strike by Leon Fisher (17) and Scott Shelton (66) sandwiched in between.
Kingstonian, Bognor Regis, Lowestoft and AFC Hornchurch finished in the play-off places, with Thamesmead, Carshalton and Cray Wanderers joining Wingate in being relegated.
Concord Rangers concluded their maiden Skrill South season with a 2-0 defeat at the Aspect Arena.
Adam Connolly (76) and Ross Stearn (90) got the goals for Bath City to leave Danny Cowley's Beachboys in ninth place.
Eastleigh finished as Skrill South champions, wi Sutton, Bromley, Ebbsfleet and Dover in the play-offs.
Hayes & Yeading, Tonbridge Angels and Dorchester Town were relegated.
