AMIR Williamson has made through into Tuesday night’s hammer final at the Commonwealth Games.
The 27-year-old from Linford, near Stanford-le-Hope, booked his place in the final with his second-round throw of 68.42 metres in qualifying today.
The distance saw him finish third in his qualifying pool and sixth overall across the two groups.
“You know as soon as it leaves your hands whether or not you’re in business and that definitely felt good,” he said.
The final takes place at 8.50pm on Tuesday night at Hampden Park.
