MAX Whitlock has bagged his first gold of the Commonwealth Games and is confident it will not be his last.
Whitlock was outstanding as he helped England win the team event at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow.
The 21-year-old, who trains at the South Essex Gymnastics Club in Basildon, will now be gunning for more glory in the individual competitions which kick off tomorrow.
Whitlock started the day on the vault scoring 15.333 before scoring 14.500 on the parallel bars and 14.766 on the horizontal bar.
Whitlock will tomorrow line up for the all around final and has qualified for the pommel horse and floor.
He could yet also qualify for the parallel bars.
