SOUTHEND Diving’s Oliver Dingley will be hoping to impress at the Commonwealth Games today.
The 21-year-old will take part in the three metre springboard preliminary rounds this morning in Edinburgh.
And he is desperate to work his way through to the final which takes place tonight.
“I’m really looking forward to competing,” said Dingley.
“I’m going to focus on making sure I enjoy myself because if I do then I feel that’s when I’m at my best.
“If I get a score I’m capable of then a medal could be possible but I’m not thinking about that or putting any extra pressure on myself.
“I just want to dive well and first of all it’s about making sure I get through to the final,” he added.
Dingley will also be keen to do well after missing out on selection for the one metre springboard.
