Spurs youngster Mark Yeates is the latest player to have attracted interest from Southend United.
The 22-year-old midfielder impressed while on loan with Colchester last season. And Blues are now interested in bringing him to Roots Hall from the Premiership club.
"Mark is someone we have made an enquiry about," confirmed manager Steve Tilson.
"But it hasn't gone any further than that at the moment."
Yeates made 52 appearances while with the U's - scoring six goals - and he has also spent time on loan with Brighton, Swindon and more recently Hull City.
He has played four times for Spurs and Tilson is keen to bring him to Blues.
