SOUTHEND United midfielder Jack Bridge is on the wanted list of a number of clubs.
But Shrimpers boss Phil Brown is keen to keep him at Roots Hall, for now.
The young midfielder impressed during a loan stint with Ryman One North side Soham Town Rangers, scoring twice in four games.
And that seems to have alerted a series of other sides.
“We've had five or six clubs, in higher leagues than Soham, all get in touch to ask about Jack,” said Brown.
“It's testament to how well Jack did and he's someone who really does have the talent to unlock defences.
“He's similar to Jack Payne and was in the squad for the game at Wycombe at the weekend so I think I'll be keeping hold of him for now.”
