SOUTHENDAngling Centre proprietor Rory Coase, Phil Browning, Graham Patching and Mick Toomer shared a tremendous 85 tope haul when they fished aboard Peter Churchill’s Southsea based Moonshine.
Only a handful of their fish weighed less than 15lbs with the majority estimated to scale between 20 and 30lbs.
There were some bigger fish, with all four anglers boating specimens of more than 30lb.
The biggest, a female of about 40lbs, fell to Toomer.
The action was so hectic that on several occasions they were all playing fish at the same time.
The fish fell to a variety of baits with eel section, herring, garfish, fresh mackerel and frozen mackerel all proving successful.
