SOUTHEND United have completed the signing of striker Shawn McCoulsky on a season long loan from Bristol City.
The 21-year-old scored 11 goals in 35 games while on loan at Newport County last season
And Blues boss Chris Powell - who will have the striker available for Saturday's clash at Plymouth Argyle - is pleased to have bolstered his attacking options.
"Shawn is a young, hungry player that can score goals and he will add to what we already have in the squad," said Powell.
"I'm pleased we've been able to secure his services for the season and that he can join the squad ahead of tomorrow's game."
McCoulsky – who scored twice against Blues in the League Cup last season - has previously been on loan at Bath City, Torquay United and Weston Super Mare.
