GLENN Tamplin will be back on the touchline for this Billericay Town’s National League South encounter at Hemel Hempstead Town on Saturday.
The Town owner put the club up for sale five days ago, citing he ‘couldn’t take anymore’ following the 2-1 defeat to Woking last weekend.
After the game, Tamplin was questioned by police in front of his children following allegations he had been ‘snorting cocaine in the public toilets’. He said this was the central reason for his decision to sell.
And while negotiations continue between Tamplin and David McCartney, Town’s lead sponsor, the owner says he will be back in the dugout against Hemel Hempstead alongside first team coach Tristan Lewis.
“I will be joint manager alongside Tristan Lewis this weekend,” said Tamplin. “I am still in talks regarding the sale of the club but there are no significant developments yet.
“I am paying for the club’s overheads this week and will not let the club down.”
Billericay are currently second in the National League South standings.
