FAYSAL Bettache has extended his loan spell with Billericay Town.
The midfielder made the temporary move from Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers on an initial one-month deal in November.
But Bettache will now remain at New Lodge until January 25 after an extension was agreed.
The 19-year-old is one of three Queens Park Rangers loanees currently earning their stripes with National League South side Billericay.
Ody Alfa has become a fans’ favourite with his trickery on the wing, while Themis Kefalas has been a regular member of Town’s backline.
Alfa and Kefalas also recently extended their respective loan deals with Billericay into the New Year.
Meanwhile, Billericay player-manager Jamie O’Hara insists he still believes in his squad despite a downturn in form.
Town have suffered back-to-back 3-2 National League South defeats to Tonbridge Angels and Dartford.
O’Hara was left frustrated by the manner in which the goals were conceded in both losses.
Billericay have not triumphed in a National League South clash in more than a month, with their last three-point haul coming at Dulwich Hamlet.
But O’Hara maintains his players are capable of coming through the sticky period they currently find themselves in.
“Away from home, we’ve got to be better,” said O’Hara.
“I think we all came together as a club, got results and everything was going well.
“But now we are having a spell where results are not going our way.
“We were winning and getting results but now we’re not.
“We’ve got to find a way to get results at the end of the day.
“I believe in the football team but I think we’ve shown a little bit of immaturity.
“It’s hard when you lose the core of your team and try to build it again with young, vibrant players who have great ability and potential.
“Sometimes, they are going to make mistakes and it’s not going to happen for them.”
Billericay will be looking to return to form when they welcome Oxford City to New Lodge this weekend.
