JOHN Coventry is certain he has managed East Thurrock United for the last time.
The Covid-19 epidemic has resulted in the country coming to a standstill and the Isthmian League have suspended play until April 3 at the earliest.
But Coventry, who was due to end his lengthy reign in charge of Rocks at the end of the season, does not think he will be in the East Thurrock dugout again.
“I have been done for the last few weeks, in my mind,” said Coventry.
“In all honesty, I have done everything at the ground so that I don’t need to go back there.
“I’m certain I have managed East Thurrock United for the final time.
“It’s a shame the season hasn’t ended as planned and we weren’t able to have everyone come together in order to celebrate the end of an era.
“But the health and safety of everyone is the priority.
“I’m sure we will get together eventually, when the time is right.”
