POPULAR former Southend United defender Bilel Mohsni has left Grimsby Town.
The 33-year-old has made just one substitute appearance for the Mariners this season.
And Town boss Ian Hollway has now admitted he made a mistake signing the defender.
"He didn’t make it because I’ve got some standards I want to keep to, and I shouldn’t have signed him," Holloway told the Grimsby Telegraph.
"I got that wrong, so I’ve let him go and I want to help him try and get somewhere else if I can."
Mohsni made 80 appearances for Blues during an eventful three year spell which ended in 2013.
Grimsby are currently 20th in the League Two table and visit Roots Hall in mid-December.
