KEVIN Watson’s first match in charge of Billericay Town ended in a 3-0 defeat away at Dartford last night, reports Leon Imber.
The result took the home side to the top of the National League South standings, as Watson’s side sit in a glum 17th position.
It was Charles Sheringham who put Town to the sword, scoring a second half hat-trick to condemn the visitors to three defeats on the bounce.
Elsewhere, Concord Rangers suffered a 2-1 defeat away at Ebbsfleet United.
Alex Wall was on target within the first minute, but the home side managed to score either side of half time to cancel out Wall’s effort and take all three points.
Rakish Bingham and Adam Mekki were the scorers for the hosts.
The Beach Boys now sit 16th in the standings, one place and two points above Essex rivals Billericay.
