SOUTHEND United goalkeeping coach Terry Mason is set to join Arsenal, Echosport understands.
Mason has been involved with the Shrimpers for the past 15 years and has been instrumental in a number of top young goalkeepers working their way through the ranks at Roots Hall.
Mason worked closely with Daniel Bentley, Ted Smith and Nathan Bishop and helped a number of other young goalkeepers earn international call ups.
The well-respected coach also spent five years working with England’s young goalkeepers in the under 15s to under 18s age groups and will now become head of academy goalkeeping at the Gunners.
