SOUTHEND United have welcomed 10 new first year scholars to the club.
The youngsters have all been handed deals after impressing in the youth set up.
And Blues' director of football Ricky Duncan feels it will be another good youth team next season.
“Combined with the ones we’ve got from last year I think this is another strong group," said Duncan.
"We’ve still got a place for another centre forward but we’re really pleased with the group.
"Some of these were involved as 16s in us winning the league last season and now they need to push on alongside the second years.”
Southend United's new scholars: Finley Purcell (goalkeeper), Mohammed Amir (centre midfield), Jacob Bland (centre midfiel), Patrick Droney (centre half), Henry Sandat (centre midfield), Omari Williams (left wing), Mitch Fellows (left back), Ibrahim Kamara (right-back), Habib Bolarinwa (centre-half/right-back) and Charlie Sayers (left back).
