Fortune favoured a keen golfer at a nine hole Texas-scramble in aid of Little Havens at the Rayleigh Golf Club.
Six teams of three went out to play.
But in the last group Gavin Bull grabbed the headlines.
On the fifth hole, he took his wedge, placed the ball on the tee addressed the ball and stroked it towards the green.
The ball then bounced twice, rolled and disappeared.
He thought it had gone into the water behind the green until he walked along and looked into the hole.
He had bagged his very first hole-in-on. He had no idea what to do until he got back to the club house to a rapturous applause and a clocked up a very hefty bar bill!
