SOUTHEND United are taking a look at young Queens Park Rangers striker Hamzad Kargbo.
The 19-year-old will spend the next 10 days training with the Shrimpers.
And Blues boss Phil Brown confirmed the forward will also line up in a trio of pre-season friendlies.
"Hamzad has come in to train and he will play in the first two or three pre-season games we have coming up too," said Brown.
"He's six foot four inches tall and he's been recommended to us by Les Ferdinand and a club we have a good relationship with.
"We will be having a good look at him."
The Shrimpers are keen to add to their strike-force and are also expected to welcome a young Norwich forward in for training.
