BENJI Kimpioka is keen to bring an unpredictable edge to Southend United.
The 21-year-old striker has joined the Shrimpers on a month long loan deal from Sunderland.
And Kimpioka is determined to prove his worth during his spell at Roots Hall.
“I try to be as unpredictable as possible,” said Kimpioka.
“I look to use my speed and my skills on the ball to score goals.
“I also want to help the team get points by being aggressive and I’m very happy to be here.”
Kimpioka trained with the Shrimpers for the first time this season.
And he is looking forward to his second spell out on loan having also been with Torquay United towards the end of the previous campaign.
“I had a little loan spell at Torquay when I was coming back from my injury,” recalled Kimpioka.
“It was a real learning experience for me.
“I enjoyed my time there and I’m happy to be starting here now.
“I want to learn as much as possible, I want to help the team and help myself as well.
“But I’ll have to make sure I’m staying fit and healthy and do my best when I get my chance.”
Kimpioka’s debut could come against Solihull Moors this weekend.
And his is looking forward to the forthcoming fixtures.
“This league is a challenge and I feel like I need a challenge,” said the striker.
“I need to show I can do it at any level and I’m happy to be here.”
