RYAN Peniston was lost for words after beating top seed Casper Ruud in sensational fashion at Queen’s.
Peniston, who is from Great Wakering, won both sets on a tie-break against the world number five.
But the former Southend High School pupil struggled to put the magnitude of his victory into words.
"I can't believe it,” said Peniston.
“It feels like a dream and it's just mad.
“It doesn't appear real at all.
“I knew it would be a tough ask but you have to think you have a chance to win when you step onto the court.
“The crowd are unbelievable here so that was a huge help but it’s just surreal.
“Four or five years ago I was sat over there watching so it's just incredible."
