GREG Rusedski has told Ryan Peniston to enjoy the ride after seeing the Great Wakering based star stun top seed Casper Ruud at Queen’s.
Peniston beat the top seed in two tie breaks.
And Rusedksi told Echosport he was incredibly impressed by the 26-year-old.
“It’s absolutely brilliant,” said Rusedki, the former world number four.
“He’s just beaten the French Open finalist, the number one seed and the number five player in the world - it doesn’t get any better than that for Ryan and I’m so happy for him.
“Mark Taylor has done a great job with him too.
“Ryan needs to enjoy the ride and it’s double delight for him today too after getting a wildcard for Wimbledon.
“He’s got an opportunity to progress and I’m happy for him.”
