GREAT Wakering’s Ryan Peniston is into the quarter finals of Queen’s after digging deep to beat Francisco Cerundolo in three sets this afternoon.
Peniston - who saw off top seed Casper Ruud in stunning fashion on Tuesday - won the opening set in just 20 minutes after winning six games in succession.
However, world number 46 Cerundolo then started to show his power and won the second set 6-4 to take the tie into a decider.
Cerundolo broke first to take a stranglehold on the match but Peniston fought back from 4-3 down to win three games in succession to secure his place in the last eight.
The 26-year-old said: “This honestly is just a dream and I don’t want to wake up any time soon.”
